Mission and Vision
Union Pointe Academy is a 1-12, co-educational, Christian school dedicated to serving the whole student – body, mind, and spirit.
Students will learn to think critically, solve problems effectively and draw conclusions from research, personal analysis and investigation. They will develop the skills to work cooperatively and effectively with others, including those of other cultures and to become life-long learners.
We will provide a nurturing environment offering quality education supported by a Christian based value system in partnership with parents.
It is the primary responsibility of parents for educating and nurturing their children. However, we do believe in a " partnership" of home, church and school all working together. Union Pointe Academy does not wish to replace the roles of home and church, but rather to encourage the values of these institutions. Applying these principles means educating the whole child.
We have a vision of "helping students discover what they were born to do" which is emphasized through the development of each student. We have a school where teachers know their students and strive to develop each student's academic, social, and talent potential in a loving and safe environment.
The school nurtures each student’s intellectual development, personal integrity, sense of community, and wholesome relationships through strong academic programs and vibrant arts. Students are all given a variety of gifts. It is our desire to help the student discover these gifts, nurture them, and encourage growth.
Academic learning is emphasized along with practical opportunities to experience lessons associated in real life. We recognize the practical significance of test scores, preparation for college, and post high school education. However, our expressed priority is nurturing a strong academic work ethic to develop life-long learners.
Union Pointe Academy seeks quality educators who have hearts for students, and who are highly qualified in their field. Union Pointe Academy teachers possess a willingness to learn, a joy of sharing knowledge with students, and a positive, cheerful attitude.
Our teachers bring warmth, imagination, and purpose to the classrooms. Most importantly, the teachers at our academy realize that students all learn differently. We simply cannot put all students into the same little “boxes” and expect the same results.
Therefore, we must first recognize each student's learning style, areas of strength and weakness, and provide accordingly. Above all, we look for teachers and staff who love students, and who guide students to know they are significant.
