"UPA offered many benefits that could turn things around for our son..."

"For many years, our son has struggled academically.  Even though we had been raising red flags throughout elementary school, it wasn’t until he was independently evaluated that he was diagnosed with several learning disabilities, including dyslexia and dysgraphia.

With little help from our local school system, he slipped further and further behind in middle school.  We heard of Union Pointe Academy when we looked for help outside of our school system.  UPA offered many benefits that could turn things around for our son, including a specialized dyslexia program using Orton Gillingham, small class sizes and blended learning.

After talking with the principal and administrators at UPA and touring the school with our son, we decided to enroll him for his freshman year.  And…boy are we glad we did!  For the first time in many years, our son seems happy again!  He’s more talkative and more relaxed.  He talks about his day and his new friendships.  We were worried about taking him away from his friends and everything he’s known academically, but he’s easily adapted into the welcoming environment of caring teachers, administrators and new friends at UPA.

We have hope again and are so thankful to UPA!"
